"Alpha"
Returns to Wraysbury
Once again the local churches in
Wraysbury will be offering an "Alpha" course starting in September
2002. Alpha is a Christian teaching programme that is now being offered by over
7,000 churches across the UK. As a result of taking part in the course, some
have become committed Christians, others say they have "embarked on a
journey of faith", whilst others have changed some of their attitudes to
life.
The course starts with an
introductory supper at Wraysbury Village Hall on Wednesday September 11th
at 7.30pm.
Following the supper, those who
decide to take part in the course will attend weekly sessions focussing on key
aspects of Christian faith, from "Who is Jesus?" to "Why and how
do I pray?" The course is open both to practising Christians as well as to
enquirers, and each session will include a simple supper, a talk, and then a
group discussion with plenty of opportunity to raise individual issues.
The subsequent weekly sessions
will also be held on Wednesdays at 7.30pm.
WHO TO CONTACT
If you would like to attend the
introductory supper, or want any further information about the course, please
contact Rev. John Harper on 01784-481258 by 4th September.
